Dante Maroni … remember when I thought Tristain was the best thing to come out of the Tenebrae Outfit? Enter Dante mother fucking Maroni. I have no words to describe how Dante made me fall for him, but I will say this: he’s a great friend to Tristan, a good brother to his autistic younger brother, a good mob boss and a perfect lover. Oh, and he’s an artist, listens to audio books and loves Harry Potter.

Amara was an FMC who stole the show. She was the unexpected. I didn’t anticipate loving her so much, but here I was, swooning over this woman. She had a kind of strength that was atypical of mafia FMC, a kind of strength that came from nurture and love. She had the best mother she could have, and in turn, Amara would make a wonderful mother.
I also loved the career she chose for herself. It fit her perfectly, and that’s where RuNyx did an amazing job of creating this character.
I felt for her from the very beginning and I was so moved to finally find out what happened to her. Then the tears started. My god, how this book made me cry.

Toe-curling smut? yes.
Beautifully written? Yes.
Morally grey alpha mafia man who would burn down the world for his woman? yes.
Made me sob? yes.
So, of course, this book would be a ten out of ten.

I loved seeing more of Morana and Tristan and seeing their relationship move forward.

“You’re the beat to my heart, Amara.”
