Alpha Trine by Lexi Ander

5.0

Just finished the audio. While it wasn’t bad, it didn’t have the highest production quality. I found it tinny in some places and I could hear the breath on the microphone. Also it is the same voice for all characters, which isn’t necessarily bad but didn’t provide as much of an experience as I was hoping. I still love the story though!

First read in Dec, 2012. Just read with the revamped first chapter and loved it even more! As with all of Lexi's books, it is a rich world with interesting characters. Looking forward to more in the series!

****Reviewed for Prism Book Aliance****

I grew up reading science fiction, fantasy and romance novels. They were never all in the same book however, which is why I love Alpha Trine. It combined all the things I adored from my favourite genres and put them all together. Alpha Trine has spaceships and technology; it has mystical races and journeys that need to be taken; it has love and devotion.

The world building was vast and we are introduced to a myriad of characters and species of aliens, all with colourful descriptions, that brought this book to vivid life. The story itself was well paced and action packed; it was hard to put down.

While this is the first in the series and focuses more on Zeus and his life, we also see some of Dargon and Alpha’s relationship as well. I loved how the three came together and I was glad that even though the story arc was left incomplete, the relationship between the three of them wasn’t left as a big cliffhanger. There is definitely reason to read the next book, but I wasn’t left feeling bereft. Alpha Trine is definitely on my Favourites Shelf!
