The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
5.0

There’s no such thing as the “perfect” story. After all, any story is read from a subjective lens. The Count of Monte Cristo isn’t the perfect story, but in my opinion it’s damn near close.

From page 1 to 1100+ this book drew me in to its fascinating and human plot.

Each character is fleshed out and given closure that is satisfying.

Dumas perfectly weaves his web of plot and characters so that every detail has relevance.

Don’t let the large page count scare you. This book, unlike many others, warrants every word in order to bring about a satisfying conclusion to every scheme and character.
