The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

3.0

I decided reading this classic given that I've always heard much talk about it. My expectations were high, but I didn't enjoyed it as much as I thought I would. I found it too slow passed and not so gripping. The setting was interesting though, as well as Hester's character and the view on women's role in a Puritan governed society. Nevertheless, I struggled to finish The Scarlet Letter, and I believe I was able to do so giving its status as a classic.
