Blonde Roots by Bernardine Evaristo

4.0

Troubling, moving, challenging and a little funny at times. I've been told to check out other works by Evaristo but this is the first I've read by her. I sped through it; I couldn't seem to put it down! However, I found keeping track of the world, with its setting out of a place and time but also wholly in our history, a little difficult at some points.

I loved, loved, loved the way Evaristo wrote, though, which makes me eager to check out her other works!
