The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Annie Barrows, Mary Ann Shaffer
5.0

If I could give this one 6 or 7 stars, I would. It was awesome even after reading "The Forgotten Garden", and that was a hard act to follow.
Basically, its a novel written in letters that revolve around a woman (Juiet). The characters are all really well written, so even Mark Reynolds and Adelaide seem real, so you hate them even more.
Plus, it has a good ending. I love good endings. I didnt want it to end though!!
The letter format is a bit hard to get into at first, but once you get into the swing of it you dont even notice.
I really liked the way Juliet wrote too! Great lines like "I wanted so badly to slap her- so I did" and "Yes, she did throw a teapot at Gilly Gilberts head, but don't believe him when he says she scalded him; the tea was cold!"
I think I want to read this one again, ASAP!

SECOND READING!!-
I still love it. I can find no fault. I want to marry Dawsey myself, and be adopted by Juliet.
