I am absolutely feral for this book! This book is a phenomenal dark romance, and I already cannot wait for more and I will definitely be reading the prequel. Now that I've dipped my toes into this world there is no going back. Rina has successfully blended together hockey romance and dark romance so seamlessly in a way I didn't think I'd find but that I absolutely loved. On top of this to also have a secret society within this story as well only elevates it further. This book had me enthralled from start to finish, with the most perfect antihero possessive MMC and a feral FMC out for revenge this book was top tier and one I would highly recommend.

With revenge in her heart, Dahlia seeks out the Vipers, an elite college hockey team that both leads the league and has some members with his hands in something much more secretive and sinister. This secret society is one that Dahlia will have to infiltrate in order to try and find the answers she so desperately needs, and the only way in that she can see is none other than Kane Davenport. Charismatic on the outside but cold and unemotional on the inside, he seems the best of a bad bunch of options, so she takes her opportunity when it arises. However, she realises too late that she might have gone after the most venemous snake of them all, and now he has her in his gaze, a predator ready to chase his prey. Dahlia quickly realises that she might be in too deep to pull herself back, that is even if she wants too or if Kane has opened up desires within her that only he can satisfy.

I must admit Dahlia had me stressed a lot during this book, she has absolurely zero sense of self preservation and although it pays off in some respect it had me banging my head against the wall in others. Putting this aside Dahlia has a fire inside her that burns so damn bright and a smart mouth that just wont quit, and I think it is this that slowly but surely breaks down Kane's walls. Kane has built walls around himself to protect him from everything he has suffered over the years, he doesn't allow for himself to become attached to anyone or anything. That is until Dahlia comes into his life like a veritable wrecking ball. I thoroughly enjoyed reading as we unraveled him as a character, and how him and Dahlia interact with eachother and how their relationship shifts as time goes on. These two aside, Rina has also crafted other amazinf characters that I cannot wait to learn more about in the coming books.

This book is the epitome of dark romance from start to finish, it explores the characters dark desires and a sinister society where everyone is out for themselves and war is only one bad decision away. I was hooked not only for the development of the relationship between Kane and Dahlia but for the mystery surrounding who hurt Violet and what their motives were. The story twists and turns, keeping us guessing at every opportunity and I genuinely could not see the reveals coming until they hit me in the face. I know I've said it already but I can't overstate how much I was hooked from start to finish and I'm hungry for more.
