This is my first time reading Showalter, but it will be far from my last. I like her writing style, pacing and plot. Maddox was a bit weirdly dual-natured, especially since he was housing Violence. One minute he's chanting kill kill kill and the next he's holding Ashlyn's hair back while she pukes. But I liked the dynamic between the warriors, the premise is interesting and the whole thing was entertaining enough for me to finish in one go.
