NOT FOR THE WEAK.
The reason I started this book is because people on tiktok were raving about how awful the book is and how people couldn't make it through page 40. I made it a personal mission to read books people say are too dark and they couldn't finish. Now when I got to page 37 and on, I kept putting my kindle down. My god this man is a GOD at descriptive writing. So much so that I was getting nauseous reading those pages. He is absolutely amazing at describing the most disgusting and horrific scenes/descriptive. The book wasn't bad. However, after so many "levels" of the playground, I started getting bored. I was 74% finished and was debating on not finishing it or powering through. I decided to finish it, and I am kind of glad I did because CJ didn't make it and I was rooting for him. It made me sad when he died. I am also glad because it had a semi-happy ending. Rock was finally free and the remaining parents/children were freed. I hope that Donnie will live a happy life with Tom and Molly. He really deserves it.
