Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain: Promoting Authentic Engagement and Rigor Among Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students by Yvette Jackson, Zaretta Lynn Hammond

informative reflective medium-paced

Essential reading for all educators. The science of how the brain learns is fascinating. I will definitely need to review my notes from the book and reread the book again in the future so that I can consciously use these teachings to adjust how I interact with a students and how I plan activities. As I work in kindergarten and early years learning, I found it interesting that a lot of the elements from the book are already foundational to ECE training.
