I liked this coming of age YA book. There were some heartwarming moments and valuable lessons. The theme of politics is maybe the best part as it illustrates the good, bad, and ugly aspects of it. Some other topics are cancer, grief, and family. Includes a dash of romance. The writing style was not my favorite. I didn’t connect with the characters and the plot was predictable.
