Aristotle and Dante Dive Into the Waters of the World by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
4.0
"The world would be a better place if everyone did more thinking and less talking. There might be a lot less hatred."
You can't help yourself but rethink your whole life and the way this world works when you read this book.
I absolutely fell in love with every character in this book. You definitely notice that Benjamin Alire Saenz is a poet. He has a very unique and so beautiful way of writing. A lot of the times I found myself crying because of his choice of words. It was a very thought out sequel.
Jamie's death was the only part of the book that completely killed me inside and forced me to put the book away. When I read Ari's speach at his father's funeral I broke down for good.
I am not sure if I am satisfied with the ending of the book. I absolutely have mixed feelings about the fast pace of Ari's time in Paris.
Other than that I can say that I very much enjoyed the book, maybe not as much as the first one but it was even more poetic.
I will love Ari, Dante and their families and chosen family forever and will think about them for a long time
