Speed Grieving by Allison Ellis

5.0

Funny and poignant. A woman deals with raising her 10 month old daughter after her husband dies of a heart attack in front of her. Ellis can spin some sentences and when she starts talking about her ghost husband and him encouraging her in meeting someone new, I just wanted to hug her. The story was definitely funny at times (some of the dates were a hot mess) and then of course at different times things hit her such as realizing that there were no more men in her immediate family circle. I thought the story was great and that Ellis shows she has not forgotten her first husband and how she was able to heal enough to let someone else in.
