Jojo was one of my first celebrity crushes so I’ve been anxiously anticipating this one! This was a really great memoir that didn’t hold back on the good, the bad, or the ugly of her story (which personally, I think is the point of writing a memoir). It’s sad how easily the music industry is able to manipulate people, especially young and vulnerable people. It’s truly no wonder that so many child stars end up having a lot of struggles when they get older! I’m really glad she has finally been able to find her voice and stick up for herself and found ways to be more healthy in all parts of her life. Very much recommend this if you’re a fan of Jojo or if you’re interested in nuanced stories about famous people!
