I think it's rare when the book is surpassed by the movie, show, or series, but for me, that is the case with Altered Carbon. A simple idea with complex and convoluted story lines and plot. I'm not sure I would have been able to follow if I hadn't already watched the series on Netflix. I had that reference point to fall back on and was able to use that as a guide.

Differences, yes, but close enough for everything to make sense. I've watched the series and may even rewatch, but I'm done with this print material.
