Dumping the Puck: Men of Havoc Book 4 by J. Hutchison, J. Hutchison
5.0
This is book 4 from The Men 0f Havoc series, but all of them can be read as standalones, but why would you? I have enjoyed each of these novella's and this was just as amazing.
This follows Kayce, our MMC, and his childhood best friend Wren. Because neither of them said how they truely felt, Wren found herself engaged to Kayce's brother, Cameron, who is for all intent purpose is a full on douchebag. On the day of Wren and Cameron's wedding, Wren, the night before, is confronted and shown evidence of what she had already suspected. Cameron IS the douchebag, and has been cheating on her this entire time.....and something a whole lot worse. The day of the wedding, she needs her best friend, Kayce, to bail her out, and exact some long overdue revenge. She asks her best friend to take her away, far away. And, here starts a holiday (with all the things Wren as always wanted to do) where they can truely be themselves, and as they always refer to each other, Johnny and June.
The level of love Kayce has for Wren puts himself in danger of losing his contract with the team, but he will do anything for his June. Wren had been seemingly groomed by Cameron to be a certain way, but with her Johnny, these two OMG that first time that spice level hits.....it could melt that ice rink.
I love these two, and, as always, the characters of the other books we see seamlessly meld together, and dare I say there are other stories to be told? Absolutely loved this series, and worth all of these books from J.Hutchison and Ryan Marie being read.
