The Last Resort by T.J. Emerson
4.0
I went into this audiobook blind. I kind of had an inclination that it was going to go one direction and it completely surprised me and focused on something totally different than I thought it was going to.
If you like thrillers about more cult or closed off communities. This one would be right up your alley. I personally love reading about these groups who have these ideals in their heads and how they act on those and then how others perceive them.
I will say it took me a few minutes to get into with listening to the audio and there being so many characters. It took me a minute to pick it apart and figure out who was who and what was what. But once I grasped the characters I really enjoyed it. The audio is fantastic and really sets the tone for the story. The twists were very unexpected and I did not call them. Overall a great read!
