An awesome story that surprised me with its interesting worldbuilding, solid characters, and very gradual enemies-to-lovers tale. I would recommend this to anyone but especially fans of stories like Mistborn.

What I liked:
- The setting and monsters within it were what stood out to me the most. The concept of a world built on ruins is always fun and the addition of monsters being built was fascinating (and dark). I found myself recalling Bioshock Infinite when the monsters were described
- The characters are solid. It's interesting to see a mute character as well as a powerful but broken male lead. Their actions always made sense and I never got annoyed by them
- The romance was ever-so-gradual but I still enjoyed it. There were some cute and funny moments too and you never doubted their relationship's growth
- The plot was solid, set alongside some great fights

What I didn't like:
- Perhaps slightly more romance. There's really not much to complain about here.
- There were a lot of characters and I found myself not recalling who was who. I also didn't care about some of them

Overall, a great read and one of my favorites of 2022 so far
