Woman vs. the void. Torn between giving this a 3.75 or a 4 actually. But reading through Ripe reminded me of my work life pre-pandemic — back when I was a copywriter / graphic designer / social media manager at advertising agencies that paid just-okay but "tolerate it cause it's good for the portfolio and the resume!" until they eventually became soul-sucking death traps that made me want to unalive myself at times. It's bleak and sad and painful; I felt so bad for Cassie and wanted to hug her because I've been her at some point.

TLDR: I will be thinking about this book for a long while.
