A fairytale novella with Aladdin vibes. 

Jay is struggling with his grief following the death of his mum. Whilst cleaning out the house Jay finds a vase containing a genie. Layla tells Jay she will grant him one wish but Jay doesn’t have anything to wish for.

The more time they spend together, the closer Jay and Layla become. Jay decides to try a free Layla from the genie curse but he must avoid making an accidental wish and sending her away forever. 

My thoughts: I was asked to read and review this by the author. I enjoyed the lightheartedness and cute storyline. I felt the ending was a little rushed but this is a sweet and easy read.
