I read this as an ARC, and I knew this book was going to break my heart from the start. The story of Kara and her mother Valerie and her father speaks to me. This is a beautiful story of the love of a girl and her mother, with a little bit of magic thrown in.
The story was a little slow to start, but once it got going, I found it hard to put down. Anybody who's had any interaction with anybody with cancer, knows its evil knows no bounds. Kara is willing to to anything and everything to save her mother's life.
In the process, she finds the love of her best friend, Connor, and repairs the broken relationship with her father.
Pre-order this book and read it. It is well worth the time!
