bro this book is fucking insaaaaaane i literally knew everything that was gonna happen and the plot twist still kicked me in the head!!!!!!! second read was definitely more fun because i KNEW things and it made it more interesting and super easy to read.

lemon is the bestest girl ever ever ever and i just want to kiss her forehead and tuck her into bed and make sure she is safe. she doesnt care about eves past thats her bestest and she would go to the ends of the earth for her<3 her relationship with zeke especially is the cutest i am so fond. i dont remember if i liked zeke the first time i read this but hes so soft and pure and he just wants to protect the love of his life and yes i do love himmmmm my sweet almost-boy

OHHHH MAN THE LIFELIKES ARE SO INTERESTING i love ai's more than anything else truly they are so fascinating to me.
Spoiler the paragraph about nic's god complex gets me every time. he really was messed up for all the things he did but i think he did mean well.. unfortunately u cant just make life like that sir! and gabriel is fucked but he kind of makes points... he is as nic made him and that was unfortunately his own little murderbot
i also really like the vocab choices jay made in this? it's kind of juvenille but i feel like it really adds to the setting and i thought it was fun.

Spoiler the way i want evie to become a villain so badly. all the lies she's been told are her villain origin story idc its what i WANT. but also ill fucking die if her and lem arent besties again by the end of the trilogy so.. i cant win but thats on me!
