Blame It on the Tequila by Fiona Cole

3.0

3.5 sooo close to being rounded up to 4… but right after finishing I’m feeling like rounding down. I absolutely loved the first 30-40% of this book. The angst, the chemistry, the longing. It was so good. Honestly, I was thinking about 5 stars because I really was enjoying the story.

After about 40% things slowly started to feel redundant and I just stopped caring. Then when we finally discovered what happened all those years ago, it just felt unbelievable? Anti climactic? How can something that traumatic feel anticlimactic? Well I don’t know but it felt like that to me. Like I almost forgot something terrible happened all those years ago because it was kinda brushed under the rug? So I just assumed it was something between Parker and Nova… but no it was actually serious. I was kinda shocked because I feel like that’s something people would talk about more but maybe that’s just me?

I did enjoy this book though! I wish it could have stayed strong for me, but I’m happy I read it. I would still recommend.
