I don't usually go for historical fiction but I really enjoyed this book. I loved the stories of all 3 main women, what they were going through & how they managed to find their way back - to themselves & to the cottage that connected them all.
As a woman who has been through hard things & dreams of one day getting a cottage & raising a witchy daughter with a legacy of our own, this story spoke directly to me.
I loved it. I loved the simple, subtle magical realism that was primarily rooted in the connection of the women to nature.
I loved how they found the strength to carry on through reading the stories of those before them.
I loved how they all resolved to live despite everything in order to honor the women of the past & to give a chance to the women of the future.
I listened to the audiobook & I'm really considering buying a physical copy of this book, I loved it so much.
