Kerri Maniscalco has done it again. I loved the sisterly relationship between Emilia and Vittoria. I also loved seeing a strong family relationship, especially when it came to the family restaurant Salt and Vine, and how everyone did their part to help make things run smoothly. While Emilia and Vittoria are twin witches, I felt that they were complete opposites. Vittoria seemed to have a slight disdain for following the rules, while Emilia seemed to play by them. This is until she discovers her sister has been murdered and does everything in her power to discover the killer, including forming an alliance with Wrath a Prince of Hell. Speaking of the princes of Hell, something that I picked up on, is that they are all named after the seven deadly sins. I loved the inclusion of notes from the family's Grimoire and the pieces from Vittoria's diary, they added a unique aspect to the story, and along with the plot twists kept things interesting. The story was dark, atmospheric, romantic and full of magic (which I wish was explained better). I can't wait to read Kingdom of the Cursed.
