Baggywrinkles: A Lubber's Guide to Life at Sea by Lucy Bellwood

4.0

This was a fun dive into tall boat sailing. I thought this would have more of a narrative/memoir approach, but it's actually presented in snippets, almost pamphlets, about different aspects of sailing culture and history. Despite its brevity, I feel like I learnt a lot and Bellwood's passion for this subject is evident.

The artwork is clean, fun and colourful, though it's evident that this collection is made up of comics she made over the course of several years as the quality does vary.

I really hope Bellwood comes out with longer and more widely published works in the future. I would love to read more by her.
