Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match by Sally Thorne
I found this book frankly quite strange. I could see what it was going for—the sister of victor Frankenstein makes herself a man, hijinks ensue. But the humor did not really land for me and IMO the emotional through lines were all over the place. I actually found the bits other people didn’t like interesting—the idea of playing God and coming to terms with it, both scientifically and from a high social position. But the tone, the writing style, and the character emotional arcs just didn’t do it for me. I kept reading to see how it resolved or I would’ve stopped.
