Furia by Yamile Saied Méndez

This book follows a storing, powerful girl, Camilla who wants to be a football player. Despite being discouraged and told that sports were for boys, she decides to pursue her dreams and play.
She has a natural talent and flair for playing football, which is not unnoticed by her coach.

This story was an emotional rollercoaster filled with hardships and battles that Camilla had to face in order to succeed. It was an amazing story which important messages to communicate to its readers.

The start was a little slow and confusing but soon enough, you're engrossed in the book and are loving it! The romance was wonderful - the author truly brings out how a relationship should be. How people should try to understand each other and support them even when they don't agree. How the other person may be trying to help but is hurting you and it is necessary to leave them. How important it is to stand up for yourself.

The various characters in this story show us exactly this and I hope I can find someone like Diego. He was flawed, yes. He did things I didn't like. But, he made it up by understanding and showing up for Camilla in the end.

Overall, I just loved the story and characters and following their journey was a pleasure!
