Tropes: hockey romance, surprise baby, he falls first
POV: first person, dual pov
Plot: ok
Ending: ok
Synopsis: Raleigh has a one night stand with Barrett which results in a baby. Barrett spends the last 5 years looking for her, but since her only had her first name and a few facts he couldn't find her. A chance encounter brings them together again.
My opinion:
Pros: I like that when Barrett found out that Raleigh had a son and he was most likely the father he didn't freak out or try and take custody. I like that Barrett was up front with his feelings especially after holding back that first night they were together. Raleigh is a good mom and wants to make sure Arthur is the priority along the way.
Cons: the book is good, but kind of forgettable. I stopped reading at about 70% to read something else and only came back to this one because I was so close to finishing it. There's a whole storyline with the PR lady that felt unfinished. Raleigh's mom's random appearance also felt weird. Plus I didn't like the reaction of Barrett's agent when he found out about Raleigh and Arthur. I thought for sure that would lead to a plot point and it didn't so I feel like it was unnecessary.
