Stepping Up by Sarah Turner

5.0

Overview: I don't even know where to start. This...book...is...amazing. The end. No...it deserves more than that so I'll do my best! Omg...Beth is basically me before I was married and had a baby. I could relate to her on every level even her 90s boy band crushes. This book is hilarious yet also the most real and heart breaking book. The times when poor Beth struggles with Ted the toddler had me bursting into laughter and then the next page made my heart ache.

Good points: Everthing! I loved Beth and Ted and Albert (the old man next door). Ted is basically my own toddler and the cutest little boy. Every single word is perfect and relatable. I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoyed it and reading it with other women was really fun too. Even the mother, who I felt was very harsh on Beth, grew and learned the truth in the end. The ending was lovely and yes, it does leave you hanging, but I personally love those types of endings because it encourages the reader to make up their own ending.

Not so good points: Not one single thing!

Seriously....READ...THIS...BOOK! The easiest 5 stars I've given this year.
