All I Need by E. Salvador

3.5

I know a lot of people have a certain dislike for the pregnancy trope but for me, if done right, I like it. And this was done right!

I really liked the whole plot line of how they met and then saw each other again - it felt different and new from other pregnancy books which was refreshing and interesting. I also really liked the characters; flaws and all.

TJ and Lola weren’t perfect, they had fears and acted on them without thinking first. They had anxiety, they had likes and dislikes, they had actual feelings that affected their actions and that made them feel more like actual human beings than book charactes. Yes, both did some terrible, some more than others but they apologised and actually did something to make it stick.

There were some scenes that J felt like dragged and others that were a bit too rushed, especially in the ending for my liking but overall, I personally really enjoyed the book. If you’re someone that doesn’t hate the pregnancy trope, I 100% recommend this book to you.

Thank you to the author for providing me an eARC copy of the book in exchange for an honest review!
