Where were these books when I was a kid? I guess a kid at heart is better than nothing. I am really enjoying these, and the fact that this one was set in NYC, just made it so much more enjoyable. My fave in the series thus far. The author has done a nice job with Serena and her sister, Daphne. They seem like real girls to me. We see new little layers of their personality in every book. I especially like that Serena is a normal hormonal tween, despite her abnormal existence. I enjoyed reading her struggle to resist or accept her family's destiny in this book. Daphne is just fun, sweet and lovable, yet tough. I can't wait to read their next adventure.
