Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor
4.0

This book was really interesting in showing the differences between whites and African Americans in the 1930s in the south. I was on edge for the last half of the book because I kept thinking something awful was going to happen since the cover of the book shows fire. It was a great book and showed some great lessons to be learned. I would use this in my classroom for Black History month or when we started talking about Civil Rights.
I also really loved the Logan family. I felt like I was part of their family at times.
