My Brother's Spare by Shira Behore
5.0

This book was given to me by Lost Island Press in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book was amazing! Does it bring anything new and groundbreaking? No. But it combines all loved elements into a captivating highly addictive story which I enjoyed very much.

Most of all I enjoyed the setting. The plot takes place in fictional city Nieve. It feels a lot like London based on architecture and weather but the lifestyle reminds more of New Yourk in 20s. I loved it so much. The hint of dark academia and sherlock Holmes in the mix gave it amazing edge!

The start of the book felt like there were so many plotlines and it was amazing to watch them come together and form huge picture as you slowly reveal the deep secrets with Valeria.

The main male character, the moraly grey villain with sharp jaw, dark hair and beautiful eyes captured my heart forever. I love you Rowan Marrow!

I have guessed the outcome but for me it wasn't a problem and the fact that a book was little bit predicable didn't bother me at all. I still enjoyed reading it.

I have only one thing to point out and that is the repetition of phrases/words which was at certain point annoying.

This book made me tear up, made me giggle, gave me goosebumps countless times. This book made me scream! And if that is not a masterpiece then I don't know what is. If you were looking for a sign to read My Brother's Spare. .. this is it.
