I didn’t start the Winston Brothers series with this book, mostly because I listened to Neanderthal Seeks Human and really disliked it, so I skipped the whole Knitting In The City series. The further into the world of Billy, Jethro, Cletus, Beau, Daryl, Ashley and Roscoe the more I felt I owed it to myself to circle back and see how Ashley got her happily ever after too.
This book was so perfect. Drew is loving, quiet, thoughtful, sweet and supportive for the entire family as they prepare for the loss of their momma, Bethany. Bethany was friends with Drew for years before she got sick and kind of adopted him into her already large family. Drews poetry is beautiful and makes the love story between him and Ash so deep and lovely. I’m glad I went back to read this one.
