Am not very interested halfway in. The writing is fine, but the protagonist is meh, so I don't find myself caring what happens next.

Protagonist is dull, the love is instalove which is low effort and annoying.

The first part with her childhood was interesting, but once she's an adult they book becomes a bore fest and a slog.

I honestly would have preferred the book focus on the killer smog. The serial killer seemed shoe horned in and just there to get part of the true crime dollar.

Very short chapters (4-6 pages each) but the machine gun style of writing is not catching my attention. Maybe another time.
