this was a good intro to cosby for me liked it but didn’t love it but ill pick up razorblade tears eventually and see if ill like that one more but this book was dark

like im a bit hesitant to rate this 5 stars
but ive never felt so much for characters in a while
and i cried in a parking lot while reading the end of this so…
if its good enough to make me cry ill give you the 5 stars evelyn
might even make an edit vid cause its sparking some booktok inspo

this book took me forever to read idk if im in a slump or something but this book was just not for me or was just ok which i feel bad saying cause it’s a classic idk ik my opinions are my opinions but when i read a classic i feel this pressure to “get it” or to understand why it’s well appreciated to be a classic tbh i prefer shirley jacksons the lottery than this, prob will read her other book we’ve always lived in the castle or something like that idk
