Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.
I just could not get beyond the voice and inner monologue of the  character Cole. The “good guy” persona and victim mentality was too much for me to wade through.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 9%.
Overly verbose writing (too descriptive, even for me), derogatory words (“wifebeater” tshirt, “druggies”) I don’t mind these topics but appreciate more mature and appreciative descriptions

My three(ish) words: beautiful, captivating, raw

Would recommend: to lovers of well-written stories of family and love and the journeys they take

Started this last year as an audiobook and ran out of hours (damn you, Spotify!) and just was able to get back to it (in print). I’m so grateful I did and hate that it took me so long.
