Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Devastatingly beautiful, The Unmothers is an exquisitely unique, rage-filled feminist folk horror tale perfectly suited for these darkly patriarchal, puritanical times. As empowering as it is horrifying, this book made me feel seen, heard, understood, and comforted by the way women KNOW. It reminded me that, yes, TOGETHER, we CAN fix what bad men break—and that good men, kind, gentle, and fiercely loving, are out there for us too. It rekindled my connection to the forgotten gods and the wisdom of ancient trees, calling us back to the forest—to our true home.
