the main character is a serial rapist tyrant whom everyone fears and adores for some reason
not much structure to the plot either. gotta say, I expected more from mankind’s earliest surviving great work of literature ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the sudden, spectacular single-sentence seven-sunsets super-sex scene was sick tho

Someone Who Isn't Me by Geoff Rickly
5.0
Geoff's imagery is incredible. Was constantly making myself slow down and take it all in. Definitely a sad tale throughout but largely just due to the overarching circumstances of Geoff's condition (which I started to take for granted pretty quickly). So when he finally reflects on his childhood and matter-of-factly talks about all the death he experienced early on, it hits really hard. Finished the book the day after seeing Thursday play through Full Collapse which certainly added to the emotion.
