I really really loved this!
FINALLY A BOOK WITH A HAPPY ENDING?? TEARS OF HAPPINESS AND NOT MISERY?? I LOVED IT, IM SO USED TO GIVING AND NOW I GET TO RECEIVE
Such an interesting take on Hell, and as always with Kuang, such interesting messages/themes/characters and dynamics.
While it did have that something missing for me to give it a full 5, I was still absolutely entranced and devoured it as quickly as possible. She’s one of those writer’s that speaks to me, I can’t wait for her next one 💖

Such intriguing classic short horror stories! Came for yellow wallpaper, stayed for rocking chair and old water.
Gilman really captured great basics of psychological horror, and found myself really drawn to the stories, the mystery of them was well paced for short stories, and really want to read more of her works!

Really loved learning about the unique history & sensibility of ‘camp’ as a genre/vibe/word.
Found the ‘One Culture & The New Sensibility’ essay very interesting as well, while I didn’t really find it as investing as ‘Notes on Camp’ it was still interesting to learn more/read

Gagged that I liked this more than I thought I would.
At least it knows what it is! So happy we actually just jumped straight into the horn, instead of slugging through boring exposition and set-up. Author knew exactly what they were doing, and really plays off of that with the readers 😂
Still, a horny smut book that instantly get a lot more boring once they get together :(Loved 70%, last end (where they get together) dragged :/ Not disappointed at all though!
Can’t wait for the MOTHMAN ONE OMFG!?

I love Nakamura so so much that’s my baby boy I’m his mother now 😭💖
Still absolutely loved it and had such a fun time! While it didn’t really focus on the relationship between Nakamura and Hirose, I feel like it really build their characters up. As well as some of the incredible side characters
The “teacher/student” thing is definitely not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. I’m reading it as Nakamura really reading too far into their dynamic and Hirose just having a teacher crush.
Still just as entertaining as the first! PRAYING it picks up again and we get a third volume!

I can’t read this because there is no English release but just know it’s a 5 because the anime is peak and the characters are peak and this whole series alone is peak

Friends book club and a fumbleeee :(
Just could not get attached to anyone, could not follow along without being bored/distracted and I just think this book being in 1st POV was detrimental to character attachment/growth.
Audiobook was difficult, Nichola Barber was slow and unimpressive :/ had to speed through. Just not for me at all

I FEEL SO MATERNAL ABOUT NAKAMURA, THAT’S MY BABY BOY 😭😭
Love, love this series! So sweet, funny, charming; ticks all the boxes I love in a lighthearted manga!
I first read this back in high school online (finally bought the physical before they BUTCHER it with the new covers 😭, this cover is so iconic, what are you doing seven seas!?) and absolutely loved it, was my heartstopper equivalent in a way haha.
I’ll never get over Syundei’s art style, just such a beautiful throwback to 80’s with great pacing and framing, obsessed!!
Love Nakamura, just praying we get it finished at some point in my lifetime 😭🙏

Woah this was fucked, I really liked it.
Super interesting oneshot, I love a disgusting horror and this was right up my alley. I absolutely LOVE Syundei’s art style SO MUCH!!and the DIFFERENCE in the two “You’re Adorable” panels was ELITE OMFG one of my absolute favourite mangaka’s!
Short and would have loved to see more backstory/development of the other children, but also happy with how fast paced and tense it was.
Can’t wait for sweet, darling, not-evil Nakamura to wash the pain away 😭💕

WOW WOW WOO WEE this was awesome!
Datensho and Shax : ( my shaylassss I’m glad they got a somewhat happy ending, was really feeling for them in their scenes : (
A great gory and fucked up story, really intriguing! I love a cat and mouse one - up dynamic, so I really ate this up. Really felt for all the characters as well, and was a pretty satisfying ending!
Kieran my darling I love you so much your my special guy in this series haha
Art style was fantastic throughout all 3 volumes, and so glad I picked this up! Character designs were so interesting and loved seeing how they all moved across the pages!
