High stakes, the family line, black girl magic, family ties and so much more. Though families may be messy and dysfunctional at times this book shows that our may character Voya will do anything for hers. This book also shows that even though you may not understand it, our ancestors can both be powerful and bring power to us. Voya is far from perfect, but that’s why I love her. She’s trying to decide what’s best not only for her own family but for herself. She has a big task ahead that could change her family forever? Will she make the right choice?

Tristan Miles, Miles brother #2 is imo (at the moment) better than Jameson out of the two brothers I’ve read so far. Tristan and Jameson both go after what they want. However, I feel as though Tristan wears his heart on his sleeve. Falling for a single mom of 3 boys wasn’t in his plan at all. After some very funny moments with the boys (I think about the first meeting scene often). He and the boys understand what they can bring to each others lives.

This took me longer than I want to admit. However, it’s okay. There are moments I loved. The letters were some of my favorite parts.
meeting each other was a little anticlimactic.<\spoiler> Luca and Griffin meet when they're children as pen-pals. Luca is in the USA and Griffin is in the UK, but through their letters, they become close friends and sort of grow up together. After experiencing tragedy Luca stops writing to Griffin. After almost ten years Luca finds the "last" letter Griffin wrote to her and decides to respomd, even if its almost a decade too late. Honestly it’s a beautiful story of one person who struggles to deal with debilitating mental health issues and find love.  BUT it also shows that if you have the right people around; you can get through anything.

To no surprise Marc Thompson brings another fantastic performance to a Star Wars novel. To be one hundred percent transparent I struggled to follow along with the book like I usually do.
So instead of abandoning the story and not finishing it, I decided to just enjoy Marc’s performance through audio.
I’m so glad I did. This story is a whole new saga in the Star Wars universe. Set in 323 BBY, 200 years before the events of The Phantom Menace.
So with that being said you have no knowledge of the movies and other media’s characters. But, that’s not to say it doesn’t read as a Star Wars story. In fact in my opinion it reads like a movie.
Everything from hyperspace battles, valiant deaths and even becoming attached to characters even though you don’t know what’s going to happen to them.

In this steamy romance. When Prince Jameson and the royal family need a bit of an image clean up in fear of the monarchy’s disbandment; A benefits concert is held in honor of Jameson’s recently departed grandfather. After being invited to the concert a mix up ends up having American rapper Dani “Duchess” Nelson staying at Jameson’s home. They are in for more than they bargained for in more ways than one but perhaps that’s a good thing

This story is possibly on track to be one of my top reads of the year and will stay with me for years to come. This emotional rollercoaster of a story with Gracewood and Viola is one that follows grief in several forms. However, it also shows that no matter what people go through, if you have the right people at your side then you’ll make it through. That is the story of Gracewood and Viola’s beautiful relationship.

A debut novel shouldn’t hit this hard. But Titan? Titan hits hard in all the right places. 😏  Jules is a strong woman who has no problem using people to get what she needs, wants, and deserves. Then Titan shakes her world up like an earthquake with just his presence. Titan is connected with her  to use her skill set. However, what was supposed to only be a business deal turns out to possibly become more for the both of them. Can they come to an understanding that they can help each other in more ways than one?

I truly feel like this book suffered from “second book syndrome” for me. Nikolai saved this book for me, his interactions with everyone made me want to continue and the political intrigue with Vasili was also a great subplot. He just wants to be a man in the skies when he has duties to uphold (I don’t know why that gets me every time.) Mal, I didn’t really enjoy him in the first book but now he’s just an asshole and I can’t stand him. Just because he and Alinia have known each other their whole lives doesn’t mean she is something or someone to stake a claim to. In all honesty I’m not a fan of the book as a whole , I wish I was but it’s just not for me.
