The only thing I have to say on this matter is WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK
"Men. Can't live without them. You can't hit them with an axe"
4.25/5 stars

This was so good! I really enjoyed it! It was so fun and the romance was so sweet and precious, but also very real at times. It's also sex positive like her other books! Yay!
This won't be a long winded-review because I think if you just go into this story and just let things unfold naturally, you'll have the best experience. Essentially you're getting a cute contemporary romance, mixed with some good representation, and a little mystery sprinkled in.
Minor Spoiler:
The only reason this is not a five stars, is that it just didn't have that five star feeling if that makes any sense. It was amazing, and I loved reading it, and I didn't really have any problems with it. I just didn't get that feeling.
I would definitely consider this book if you're into contemporaries that are a little more than your average ya romance. I am definitely buying a finished copy!

I do have to say that the sex scene in this was fairly well done, and while nothing is graphic, it is heavily implied that he goes down on her and I think that's never done enough in books and was fantasticThe only reason this is not a five stars, is that it just didn't have that five star feeling if that makes any sense. I absolutely adored this story
TW: miscarriage
It feels weird to rate it, because it is such a personal story for the author, but I gave it a 4.5/5 stars
The metaphors in this story are what really blew me away. The story was raw and emotional, but the parallels that the author draws between writing and coping and healing is just extraordinary. Adding in those panels made it magical. The boat, and the waves of paper, and everything was just so beautiful. I implore you to read this if you can handle the subject matter.

Yup. That was a lot of robot sex.

Honestly, this was so fun! It was literally about sex machines. Every story had at least one machine having sex.
There was a good amount of diversity as well, different gender pairings and such. There were a few that were absolutely bizarre (see: women has sex with sentient worship statue), but some were sweet. My favourite was Remote Connection.
I’d recommend it if you’re into this sort of thing I guess 🤷🏻♀️ I liked it, I’m probably going to read other Smut Peddler instalments as well!

This was HILARIOUS! Truly this was one of the funniest things I've ever read, which I didn't expect from Frederik Backman honestly. But don't be fooled, it's a pretty deep read that gives some genuine advice under the surface of all the nonsense and comedy.
This book is broken down into sections, each being something different he wants his son to know about. Then between each essay there are three or four little flashes of a story, or a conversation, or something. And they were equally as hilarious. My favourite section was Things My Son Needs to Know About IKEA
But in between all the humour, I think the author does a phenomenal job at truly looking at parenthood, and why we end up doing the things we do for our children. Although the title suggests it, I don't think this is written for the children, I believe it's written for the parents. I think it would be incredibly relatable for them.
The only reason I didn't give this a full five stars, is because I don't believe I'm the intended audience for this, I am not a parent. And I think if I was a parent, I would've gotten more from this book. So I definitely recommend this one for all the parents out there. Especially if you're exhausted all the time, like Backman seems to be!

I’m feeling pretty meh about this one. Cooking with bugs, cute f/f romance, but it wasn’t something to write home about.
