It wasn’t the next great literary work or anything, but it was incredibly fast paced and fun! Worth reading for Thomas Creswell alone
THIS BOOK Y'ALL (27/5 stars)
This is a new favourite book of mine, possibly my favourite I've ever read.
The thing about this story is that I think the majority of people will enjoy it, but whenever I try to describe the plot to someone I always get this face

Because the plot seems "out-there" and it definitely is a little bit of a peculiar book, but it's just so freakin' amazing I cannot recommend it enough. I feel as though I can't talk about the plot without spoiling things that happen in the book, and it's better if you read it not knowing what's to come.
This story follows Lois, a woman who programs robotic hands for a living, and feels as though her life is very mundane. Insert a takeout menu stuck to her door one day, offering only: spicy soup, spicy sandwich or a combo (double spicy). She orders a combo, loves it, eats it every day, until the people who run the takeout, move away. But they leave Lois their sourdough starter: a combination of bacteria and yeast used to make sourdough bread. Through learning the basics of baking, Lois falls in love with the craft and the story unfolds from there. IT'S JUST SUCH A GOOD STORY!
I cannot recommend this book enough, read it. It is such a strange little book, but in such an amazing little way.
