Unpopular opinion time, I didn’t love this book, I really didn’t even like it.
Why? Well let’s start with the fact that it is unnecessarily long, which I understand is expected from King’s works; however, there seemed to be ~250 pages that was just not needed.
Also the characters weren’t really developed very well. I didn’t really care what happened to any of them.
And the big crazy situation they don’t think anyone will believe, literally everyone believes without question unless it’s necessary they question it for the plot development.
There were also SO MANY SPELLING/GRAMMATICAL ERRORS I am only human.
All in all, the last 75-100 pages of this book were pretty good, getting the book it’s extra star. I wouldn’t really recommend this book if you want to read King, especially if you’re just starting out. It took me months to read and I considered DNFing it so many times. And all that effort didn’t really pay put in the end. Oh well, on to the next King.
