Pretty sure this was my favourite volume yet
Fuck it, I’m giving it 5 stars. I just love this series so much and could never tell you why
Okay, now that I’ve had time to reflect on this, let’s chat.
First of all, the main character is literally the worst person ever. I will be shocked if you could give me any redeeming qualities about this guy. He’s literally always fat-shaming his best friend during his inner monologues.
And he is oh so hypocritical, without spoiling the plot, he takes knowledge of something from the love interests past and uses it to manipulate someone into doing what he wants (it is a truly horrible thing as well). Then acts like the love interest is the worst possible human being because he’s trying to come to terms with his sexuality and change his entire life to be with the main character. THEN THE LOVE INTEREST NEVER FINDS OUT SO IT CAN NEVER BE CHALLENGED BY SOMEONE IT WOULD TRULY EFFECT. It’s challenged by another person but he’s just like, oh you had my best interest at heart so it’s all good. Nothing about it was okay. If you’re wondering what I’m referring to and doing mine being spoiled it’s
Also the plot makes no sense, I couldn’t even attempt to give a synopsis because so many different plots happen in this story. None of them are really completed without loose ends.
I just really don’t like this book and the more I think about it, the more it enrages me.
Initial Thoughts
This was a solid two stars right up until the duck attack, then it lost me completely

Spoiler
when Beckett decides it’s okay to use his knowledge of Jaxx’s parental abuse and then uses it to make Jaxx’s mom think Beckett’s dad hits him because it’ll make her break up with himAlso the plot makes no sense, I couldn’t even attempt to give a synopsis because so many different plots happen in this story. I’m so torn on rating this book because up until about page 300 it was a four star book but somehow the ending made the whole story better???? Idk. For now I’m going to settle on a 4.5
After days of deliberation, I’ve decided that I can’t rate this.
On one hand, it was crazy diverse and the erotic aspect was super interesting to see in graphic novel form.
But on the other hand, I had to read it twice to somewhat understand what happened, and even then I’m still not sure I got everything.
So yes it was fantastic and I loved it and it has so much diversity, but I’m still confused? Idk. Anyways I’m not rating it.

Okay so I really enjoyed this. There’s barely a plot and the characters are pretty flat. But it was super fun and I’m just loving all things sex positive at the moment

Here’s the thing, if the whole book took place during the flashbacks I think I would like it so much better. I really didn’t care about the present day. That might have something to do with the face that I didn’t care if Malorie lived or died. But the flashbacks were so good, and I want to say it’s maybe 65% of the story. I just love seeing what happens to society when it’s thrust into an unknown situation.
Also the ending just didn’t do it for me. I wanted a little bit more. But it was a good read. Super fast and entertaining.
