Oh, this book.... I really hated the MC. Once I came to grips with that, I could enjoy the story. It was unique. Idk about fun, but at least an exciting read.

I really disliked the way everyone's race was announced. Although it is racially diverse, it doesn't feel that way. The story is ok, but I feel like it is something she wrote as a teen (obv not a bad thing), but the story didn't mature with the author. It was also a little dumbed down.

I enjoyed this book so much! For me it started out slow & the author has such a distinct voice it was hard for me to get into. But once everything started happening with the family it really picked up. I love that every character had such an amazing voice.
