I listened to the audiobook. It was a bit frustrating that the male lead is Irish but when the book was read they didn’t bother to use Irish accent. In some parts they did but honestly it was rubbish. I have had other audiobooks where they were able to do multiple accents and it was so much better. It honestly took away from my enjoyment of the book.
Besides this, I enjoyed the book, albeit not as much as the first one. I would recommend this book and am still looking forward to reading the third book.

This book is really hard to give a rating tbh - so I’m just going to go with three stars. I listened to the audiobook. Female perspective was read really well, but the voice for the male perspective was super annoying.
I really enjoyed this book to start with as it has definite gothic fairytale vibes. However the male love interest is such an asshole, that the further the book went along, the more this took away from enjoying the book. I don’t think I would recommend this to others to read tbh.
