Is this book “a court of thrones and roses” but just in different font? Yes. But did I love it? ALSO YES! I had so much fun reading this. I’m so keen for book 2

This duology was the best audiobook I’ve listened to this year - and it’s free with Audible, no credit needed. Kudos to the audio readers, you both did an amazing job. I felt so immersed in the world. Highlight: Snake island always has me on the edge of my seat!!

DNF page 75 (25%). I just found this story a bit… boring? Which was sad because I was really looking forward to it. I just couldn’t feel a connection with Constanta to empathise and justify her vilification of Dracula tbh. I will still say it was written well but just not for me so three stars.

I didn’t love this book as much as the first. I felt at the end of the first book it was built to a crescendo and I was excited to see what happens next…but it just fell flat. Also was really frustrated about Matthias storyline - like HASN’T THE MAN BEEN THROUGH ENOUGH

This book was a spontaneous grab from my local library and it was surprisingly nice to read. Evemer was amazing love interest but Kadou was a bit frustrating at times because of how anxious and timid he is all the time. Fair warning this book is heavy on politics but this queer love story was a worthy read and I would recommend.

This book was an adventure and I loved every minute - it reminded me of Alice in wonderland in that you never knew where it was going to go next.

Hands down my favourite book this year. I absolutely binged this book on Audible it was SO GOOD. I had heard that a lot of the names were hard to pronounce so hard to follow along when reading the novel. I was super glad that I went with the audiobook option instead. And chapter 33, oh my lord. After discovering bridge kingdom series and now reading this novel, I am absolutely a Danielle L Jensen girlie now and love her storytelling style. I’m off to find more Viking romantasys to read!!
