This is a novel that deals with difficult themes such as sexual abuse by a person in a position of power, PTSD, bullying, loss of acceptance, racism, and sexuality, among others. It is written in blank verse, which shows how scattered and fractured Alicia's thoughts have become. It can also make the text hard to follow at times.

For teens and adults dealing with such issues, this could be a valuable book to read, because it demonstrates that such issues are more common than most people think.

This was a really cute, short (30-minute) story that packs a lot into such a brief read. For whatever reason, the fact that the vampires could turn into bats like in the old Bugs Bunny cartoon really tickled me. I’m definitely looking forward to the next episode in this series.

DIFFERENT FOR BOYS was all over the place. It's one of my least favorite books of Mr. Patrick. Maybe it's because I am aged out or perhaps it was just another basic gay white teen story.

I hated that the cursed words were FUCKING blank out.
